Friday, our beloved Rocky Mountain Horse, was truly one of a kind. For 27 years, he was more than a horse—he was family. Always waiting at the gate with his quiet dignity, he greeted us faithfully, eager for his alfalfa and carrots.
On the trails, Friday was amazing—steady, sure-footed, and a joy to ride. He carried us through countless adventures, giving us freedom, peace, and a deeper connection with nature. But perhaps his greatest gift was the healing he brought to our daughter, who joined our family through international adoption after a difficult past. Friday’s gentleness and patience made him the perfect therapy horse. With him, she found comfort, trust, and unconditional love. He carried her not only in the saddle but also through some of her deepest hurts.
Friday was stoic and brave, even in pain, always allowing us to love on him. His kind presence filled the barn and our hearts, and the loss of his soft nicker and steady spirit leaves a void words can hardly capture.
Though he has crossed the rainbow bridge, Friday’s legacy of love, healing, and joy lives on in every trail memory, every moment of laughter he gave us, and every heart he touched. He will forever be sorely missed, but always remembered with gratitude and love.
