Jude Frederick-Hinton
2016 – 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Jude, who crossed the rainbow bridge in 2026 at the age of 10.
Jude was more than a dog—he was family. He was a constant source of love, comfort, and joy to his dads, Roy and Phil. From the moment he came into their lives, Jude filled their home with laughter, companionship, and an unconditional love that will never fade.
Known for his boundless energy and gentle spirit, Jude had a special love for playing ball. No matter the time or place, the simple sight of a ball brought him pure happiness. That joy was contagious, and it’s something Roy and Phil will carry with them forever.
Over the past year, Jude bravely faced a battle with a brain tumor. Through it all, he showed incredible strength and resilience, reminding everyone around him what it means to live fully and love deeply. Thanks to the compassionate care he received and the unwavering support of those around him, his family was given the priceless gift of more time—time filled with love, memories, and moments that will never be forgotten.
Roy and Phil would like to express their deepest gratitude to the incredible veterinary teams who cared for Jude throughout his journey, including Countryside Animal Clinic, The Oncology Service, Bush Veterinary Neurology Service, Wholistic Paws Veterinary Service, and Ocean Veterinary Ophthalmology. Their compassion, dedication, and expertise not only guided Jude’s care but gave his family the invaluable gift of more time with him.
On his final day, Roy and Phil made the heartbreaking but selfless decision to let Jude rest peacefully, freeing him from pain and suffering. It was an act of profound love for a soul who had given them everything.
Jude is survived by his devoted dads, Roy and Phil, who will forever cherish the life they shared with him.
He is deeply missed and will always be remembered for the love he gave so freely and the joy he brought into every moment.
In honor of Jude, take a moment to hold your loved ones close, cherish the simple joys, and, when you can, throw a ball and remember a life lived with happiness and heart.
